His noteworthy contribution to the field of Hospital Management spans over 45 years. He is former Finance Director of the Bombay Hospital, Mumbai, where he served for 27 years at various executive positions.

He is known to be the first Indian citizen to receive a Ph.D in Hospital Planning & Management. Dr. Ojha has visited over 500 hospitals, including several hospitals in USA, UK & Japan, to study their planning and systems. He is the first Indian citizen to receive the honor of being Member Nominee of American College of Health Care, USA.

With immense experience and knowledge of hospital planning & administration, He started the first Hospital Consultancy firm in India, HOSPIC, in 1994.

Dr. Ojha is pioneer in conceptualizing and mooted the idea of corporate hospitals in the country during the year 1981 and his article, “Floating a Company for Medical services” was published in Financial Express. It was due to his persuasion of the various Central Ministries, the Industrial Development Bank of India Act, 1964 was amended in the year 1986, enlarging the definition of “Industrial Concerns” to include hospital projects, thus permitting the financing of Corporate Hospitals by IDBI. Dr. Ojha is an advisor to IDBI, ICICI and SBI for hospital projects in India. HOSPIC is also a consultant to the World Bank. He has written many articles on Hospital Administration in leading newspapers/magazines. He is an authority in hospital management in India therefore his views & opinion are frequently interviewed by leading newspapers and business

He is associated with Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, since 1980. He has held various academic positions and is a visiting faculty for teaching hospital planning & financial management for masters’ degree in Hospital Administration.

He is Included in 'Who's Who in India' and 'Who's Who in Asia' for Hospital Administration.
